Antenatal Care
Over the course of your pregnancy and our time together, we will have four face-to-face antenatal sessions. We will have discussed what it is that you want to cover during these sessions and what exactly you need from me.
On Call
From week 37 of your pregnancy, I will officially be on-call for you. When you’re ready for me, you or a member of your birth team will call me and let me know that it’s time to meet you at home, hospital or birthing centre - wherever you’ve chosen to birth your baby.
Your Birth
Drug-free, or all the drugs available. Home birth, or hospital birth. Vaginal birth, or belly birth. My job is to ensure that your wants and wishes are respected, that your birth space remains a safe place for you to labour as you want to. I will remain with you and your birth partner(s) until your baby is safely in your arms and you are ready for me to leave you.
Postnatal Debrief
After you’re all settled in at home with the newest member of your family, we will arrange a day that suits you best for me to come out for a visit at your home.
During this visit we will go through your whole labour and birthing experience. We will take the time to work through any feelings that you and/or your birthing partner/team might have. If there was anything about the experience that you are not happy with then I will help start the complaint process and provide resources for additional support if it is needed or wanted.
