Did you know, that having a doula can increase your chances of having a positive birthing experience?
A Doula provides pregnant people with continuous support throughout their pregnancy, labour and birth. This support is not only for the birthing person but for their birth partner/birthing team.
Having a doula present can reduce the need for intervention as well as the chance of unnecessary interventions being used. Caesarean Birth rates have also decreased with the use of doulas.
A doula will make sure that the wishes, dignity and human rights of the birthing person are respected by their healthcare providers.
